Suzanne Baran is a Nurse Practitioner at the Breast Care Center at Fletcher Allen. Her role is post treatment surveillance of women who have had breast cancer. In addition, she works with women who are at increased risk for developing breast cancer.
Elaine Belanger, PT, CLT
Elaine Belanger received her lymphedema training through Klose-Norton Consultants in 2003. She has specialized in lymphedema treatment for the past 3 years. She is employed by Fletcher Allen's Rehabilitation Outpatient Center, treating both inpatient and outpatient cases.
Zail Berry, MD, MPH
Zail Berry is an internist, geriatrician, and palliative medicine specialist providing home medical care to persons with serious illness in Chittenden County. She serves as Co-Medical Director of the Hospice of the Champlain Valley and is Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the UVM College of Medicine.
Donna Berryman
Donna Berryman is a librarian and Outreach and Education Coordinator for the New England region. She teaches librarians, health professionals, and others how to use the National Library of Medicine resources.
Betty Blouin, RN
Betty Blouin currently works as a nurse for Project Independence. She is co-founder of the Central Vermont Cancer Support Group, the Christian Mediation Center and the Foundation for Compassionate Care.
Cat Bordhi
Cat Bordhi is a former middle school teacher, a novelist, fiber artist, and publisher, and is known in the knitting community as a teacher, writer, and designer who encourages innovative, independent exploration and creative confidence.
Gail Breslauer
Gail Breslauer is a breast cancer activist and founder of the Vermont Space Education Program. As a voluntary grassroots advocate with the National Breast Cancer Coalition, she is dedicated to political advocacy and legislative initiatives to find the causes of and eradicate breast cancer. Gail has served on the Board of Directors of NBCC representing the former Breast Cancer Network.
Susan Burdette-Radoux, MD
Susan Burdette-Radoux is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the UVM College of Medicine and a member of Fletcher Allen's Hematology/Oncology Division. She has a primary interest in clinical trials of immunotherapy and agents with novel mechanisms of action in the areas of breast cancer, melanoma and brain tumors.
Janet Colantuono
Janet Colantuono is co-founder and executive director of Hurricane Voices Breast Cancer Foundation. One of Hurricane Voices' major programs, the Family Reading List, is an annotated bibliography of high-quality books addressing the implications of breast cancer on the family.
Margie Cole, MSW
Margie Cole is a member of the board of the VT-NH affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and is chair of the Education Committee. She is a social worker employed at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in the Breast Care Center.
Rose Colletti, PhD
Rose Colletti is a staff psychologist in the Cancer Patient Support Program at Fletcher Allen. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery, in Surgical Oncology at the UVM College of Medicine.
Dave & Karen Crawford
Dave & Karen Crawford have been married for 16 years, and they have two children. Karen was diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer in the spring of 2004.
Rev. Regis Cummings
Regis Cummings is a Permanent Deacon at Saint Augustine Church in Montpelier. He is co-founder of the Central Vermont Cancer Support Group and the Christian Mediation Center in Montpelier. He is also a member of the Central Vermont Hospital Ethics Committee and Clergy Advisory Board.
Brent C. Devenney, RN, BSN, OCN, MDiv
Brent Devenney is the Nursing Supervisor/Educator of the Vermont Cancer Center at Fletcher Allen. He also holds a Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, TX, and serves as Associate Pastor at Daybreak Community Church in Colchester.
Kim Dittus, MD, PhD
Kim Dittus is a Hematology/Oncology fellow at UVM and Fletcher Allen. She plans to pursue an academic medical career with a research focus on mechanisms by which exercise may prevent cancer recurrence and improve survival.
Linda Dyer
Linda Dyer is a 13-year breast cancer survivor. She served as Executive Director of Bosom Buddies, a large support group in the New Jersey area. She is currently the Founder/Director of Dragonheart Vermont, a new kind of support group in Vermont where the focus is on living rather than on the disease. The group is incorporating the paddling sport of dragon boating into life after breast cancer.
Ellen Fein, LCSW, RYT
Ellen Fein is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a certified yoga teacher. She teaches yoga to those with serious illness and also runs workshops and groups about healing and mind-body techniques such as imagery and meditation.
Charon Ferland
Charon Ferland is Environmental Health Programs Manager at the Association of Vermont Recyclers, a local non-profit. She educates and provides technical assistance to schools and the public to help them reduce or eliminate the use of toxic cleaners and lawn care products. She lost her mother to breast cancer and is herself a cancer survivor.
Barry Finette, MD, PhD
Barry Finette is a Pediatric Critical Care Physician at Fletcher Allen and Professor of Pediatrics, Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at the UVM College of Medicine and a member of the VCC. Since 2000, Dr. Finette has been on the President's Task Force on Environmental and Safety Risks to Children. In 2002, the Burroughs Wellcome Fund honored Dr. Finette with the prestigious Clinical Scientist in Translational Research Award.

Felicia Foster is a nurse who works in collaboration with health care professionals at Fletcher Allen and the University of Vermont.
Stephanie Fraser, MSW
Stephanie Fraser is a Social Worker, covering the outpatient clinic at Fletcher Allen's Hematology/Oncology clinic. In November of 2005, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. During her treatment and recovery, she trained for the 100-mile bicycle ride to benefit the Lance Armstrong Foundation and successfully finished the century ride in Philadelphia six months after completing chemotherapy.
Penelope Gibson, MS, PA-C
Penelope Gibson graduated from Rosalind Franklin University (previously Finch University) in 2000. She worked in family practice for five years before joining Fletcher Allen's Hematology/Oncology Division in July 2006.
Rebecca Gray
Rebecca Gray is a writer for Dartmouth College. As a nine-year breast cancer survivor, she has also served as a consumer reviewer for the Department of Defense Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program as well as served two terms on the Board of Directors of the VT-NH Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Seth Harlow is Associate Professor at the UVM College of Medicine. He is also the Chief of the Division of Surgical Oncology and the Director of the Breast Care Center at Fletcher Allen.
Robin Hayden, NP
Robin Hayden is an Adult Nurse Practitioner working in the Breast Care Center/Surgical Oncology Service at Fletcher Allen. She spent many years as a primary care/women's health care provider and has been working at FAHC since 2000.
Sally Herschorn, MD
Sally Herschorn is the Medical Director for the Breast Imaging Division at Fletcher Allen and is an Associate Professor of Radiology at the UVM College of Medicine.
Kim Ireland
Kim Ireland is a dynamic, passionate advocate for the importance of cancer research, and she and husband Scott have been long-time supporters of cancer research in Vermont. The Ireland family, owners of the S.D. Ireland Companies in Burlington, endowed the S.D. Ireland Professor of Surgery at UVM held by cancer physician-scientist Dr. David Krag and also created the S.D. Ireland Cancer Research Fund to support the work they believe in so strongly.

Kristi Johnson practices physical therapy at Timberlane Physical Therapy. She has been a certified lymphedema therapist since 1999.
Donna M. Kimbark, PhD
Donna Kimbark is Breast Cancer Grants manager at the Department of Defense's Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program. She manages over 500 breast cancer awards and ensures the meritorious work of the awardees.
Catherine King, MA, LCMHC
Catherine King is an activities therapist on inpatient psychiatry at Fletcher Allen. She holds a Master's degree in Art Therapy and is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor.

Beverly Kirkhart, breast cancer survivor since 1993, is an author and co-founder of the Breast Resource Center of Santa Barbara with surgeon and best-selling author Dr. Susan Love.
Richard Lovett, MD
Richard Lovett is Clinical Associate Professor at the UVM College of Medicine. He sees patients at Radiation Medicine Affiliates, Community Cancer Center at the Rutland Regional Medical Center. He is president of the VT-NH Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Susan MacLennan is a Plastic Surgeon at Fletcher Allen, with a special interest in breast surgery. She is an Assistant Professor at the UVM College of Medicine.

Sally Mattson is a licensed Vermont psychologist practicing in Brattleboro. She is a breast cancer survivor and is currently writing a book of narratives based on her interviews with breast cancer survivors.

Jennifer Ohler May is a Registered Dietitian working part-time with the Cancer Patient Support Program. She provides nutrition counseling to patients at the cancer clinic at Fletcher Allen and offers workshops and lectures to the community on various cancer and cancer prevention topics. She received her Bachelor's of Science in Dietetics/Nutrition & Food Sciences at UVM and completed her dietetic internship at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.
Kathleen McBeth, MA
Kathleen McBeth is the full-time coordinator with the Cancer Patient Support Program in the Hematology/Oncology Clinic at Fletcher Allen. She is a Licensed Psychologist, and is a seven-year lymphoma survivor.
Wendy McKinnon, MS
Wendy McKinnon is a certified genetic counselor specializing in genetic counseling and testing for familial cancer for the Familial Cancer Program of the Vermont Cancer Center at Fletcher Allen.
Sister Pat McKittrick, RN
Pat McKittrick is a registered nurse at Fletcher Allen. She coordinates the Health Ministries Program and recognizes the importance of healing body, mind and spirit.

Hyman B. Muss, MD
Hyman Muss is a Professor of Medicine and practices medical oncology at the Vermont Cancer Center at the UVM and Fletcher Allen. He is Co-Chair of this conference. Dr. Muss also participates on several national boards for the Cancer and Leukemia Group B and the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Johannes "Chris" Nunnink is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the UVM College of Medicine and is an attending physician at Fletcher Allen. He sees patients at the Vermont Center for Cancer Medicine.
Patricia O'Brien, MD
Patricia O'Brien trained at the UVM College of Medicine specializing in internal medicine. She currently provides lymphedema consultations at Fletcher Allen. She serves as Co-Chair of this conference and is on the grant committee for the VT-NH affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. She has served on many boards including the Stowe Weekend of Hope, the VT-NH Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the Cancer Patient Support Program. Dr. O'Brien is herself a 12-year breast cancer survivor.

John Olson coordinates Vermonters Taking Action Against Cancer, a statewide partnership of 140+ individuals, organizations and professionals that created Vermont's second strategic plan for cancer prevention and control. Previously, he was the Director of Education at Vermont CARES in Burlington.

Valerie Pallotta is a Registered Aromatherapist and is the former Vermont Director for the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy.
Sharon Panitch
Sharon Panitch is a nationally certified Massage Therapist in Burlington. She provides massage therapy to hematology and oncology patients at Fletcher Allen, with a grant from the Victoria Buffam Endowed Fund.

Wes Pastor is founder and senior minister of Christ Memorial Church in Williston, as well as the president and visionary of New England Theological Seminary.
Elizabeth Peterson
Elizabeth Peterson is currently an epidemiologist with the Vermont Department of Health, where she is responsible for surveillance and evaluation of chronic disease prevention efforts throughout the state. Ms. Peterson is also a member of the steering committee for Vermonters Taking Action Against Cancer.

Allan Ramsay is Professor of Family Medicine and Associate Chair of Family Medicine at UVM. He is Director of Inpatient Family Medicine Services at Fletcher Allen. Dr. Ramsay practices at the Colchester Family Practice and is Medical Director of Green Mountain Nursing Home in Colchester.

Barbara Segal is a Clinical Specialist in Palliative Care at Fletcher Allen. For 11 years she was the director of the Hospice of the Champlain Valley and was instrumental in merging the Vermont Respite House with the VNA's Hospice of the Champlain Valley in 1995.

Cheung Wong is the Director of Gynecologic Oncology at Fletcher Allen and an Assistant Professor in the Department of OB/GYN at the UVM College of Medicine. Dr. Wong's clinical practice includes screening and treating women for gynecologic cancers. Currently, he is researching the etiology of ovarian cancer with several members from the VCC.
