Supporting the Mission
Terri Hathaway

Terri Hathaway was only 34 when she received her breast cancer diagnosis in 1985. One tiny lump transformed her life into two decades of activism that has helped make a tremendous impact on breast cancer in Vermont.

Inaugural president and current grants director for the VT-NH Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Terri started making a difference immediately following her treatment when she agreed to enroll in a clinical trial. During that time, she also put her energy toward getting the Komen Race for the Cure established locally and then launching what has become the very successful VT/NH Komen Affiliate, which has provided substantial support to the Breast Cancer Conference. Terri was further motivated when her sister, Maggie, lost her battle with breast cancer in 2002.
